Forest Therapy Balm
Forest Therapy Balm
Take the forest with you everywhere you go.
Whenever we walk in the woods, it's soothing for both body and mind. I wanted to bottle up that goodness, so, "forest therapy" was born.
The main element of this skin balm is an herb infused oil. Plantain, chamomile and calendula are wonders for the skin. They will help heal any rash, scratch, wound, burn, bite, sting. Pine needle and cedar leaf not only smell amazing but have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. The essential oils used are derived primarily from trees and are known for reducing anxiety and calming a busy mind while amplifying the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.
At first glance you may think this is just a skin balm, but it's much more and I know you'll find endless uses for "forest therapy".
Ingredients: grapeseed oil, shea butter, beeswax, cocoa butter, plant extracts (pine needle, cedar leaf, plantain, chamomile, calendula), essential oils (scotch pine needle, spruce black, fir needle, cedar leaf, cajeput).
Plant extracts explained: The plants noted here have been infused into grapeseed oil over a number of weeks, in and out of warmer environments. This process gently draws important components out of the plants that can benefit the skin. The oil is then strained, the plants are removed, and we are left with a gentle oil safe to apply directly on the skin. These delicious oils are put to use in our health enhancing skincare!
Essential oils explained: When plants are steam distilled, it produces both an oil and a liquid. The liquid is hydrosol (that's a convo for another time). The oil is highly concentrated and potent and therefore must be respected and used in minimal dilutions. These cannot be applied directly to the skin, but can be extremely beneficial when used properly.
